Point-of-care testing (POCT) middleware connects analysers to the clinical record. It captures each result electronically, matches it to the right patient and operator, keeps quality-control runs separate, checks them against your rules, and sends the finished result to the EHR, LIS or EPR. How to choose
- Start with your setting. Hospital programme, standalone clinic, or a group of sites.
- List your analysers and your record system. Check each one is supported, both ways.
- Decide how much QC governance you need. Westgard rules, lockout, competency and EQA records, or results only.
- Compare the pricing model. Per test, per provider, per device or per site changes the total as you grow.
