Home / Platform / Connectivity & devices

Fluent in every dialect on the bench.

Catenix translates every analyser, protocol and dialect into one normalised, bidirectional feed — and proves it down to the byte.

Connect

Every device, one fluent stream.

Connectivity is bidirectional: the platform can send instructions, time-syncs and operator lists to a device, not just receive results. New protocols are added per request, typically within days.

  • Bidirectional interfaces over HL7, ASTM, POCT-1A and REST
  • LIS & EHR integration — inbound orders, outbound results
  • On-prem edge agent or cloud — your choice of topology
  • New protocols added per request, typically within days

Device management

The fleet, at a glance.

Device fleet & registry

Every analyser registered, online status visible, each one scoped to its tenant and site.

Connectivity & gateway logs

See the live link state and the wire traffic behind every device, in one consolidated view.

Bidirectional control

Time-syncs, operator lists and directives sent to the analyser — the system speaks, not just listens.

LIS / EHR

Receive orders inbound and send results outbound over HL7 — sit alongside an existing LIS, or run standalone.

Wire-level audit

Every frame recorded — bytes, decoded, parsed — so any result traces to the exact message that produced it.

Strict tenant matching

Inbound messages are matched to a registered source; anything unrecognised is quarantined, never mis-filed.

The edge

A self-healing gateway.

The Catenix Gateway is a lightweight, signed, self-updating agent that runs on a clinic PC to talk to analysers locally. Supervised listeners auto-restart, and results buffer and retry through brief network drops — a clinic never quietly goes offline.

  • Tray-resident, signed and self-updating
  • Supervised listeners that auto-restart
  • Durable result buffering with at-least-once delivery
  • Auto-detects device wire formats on first byte

Questions, answered

The questions clinics ask first.

Which connectivity protocols do you support?

HL7 v2, POCT-1A and ASTM out of the box, plus REST and selected proprietary device frames. New protocols are added on request, usually within days.

Cloud or on-premise?

Either. A lightweight edge agent runs on a clinic PC to talk to analysers locally, while the platform is hosted in-region. Connectivity survives brief network drops.

Is connectivity one-way?

No — it's bidirectional. Catenix can send time-syncs, operator lists and directives to an analyser, not just receive results.
