POCT software built for occupational health.

Occupational health runs on volume and proof: pre-employment screening, periodic reviews, testing days on a client's site, and records that have to stand up months later. Catenix is POCT software for occupational health providers that captures every near-patient result, keeps it traceable, and delivers it where your corporate clients need it — without ever interpreting what the result means.

Where the line is

Catenix is connectivity and record-keeping infrastructure. It captures, transports and displays the result a device or laboratory produced, together with who ran it, on what, and when. It does not interpret results, derive outcomes, flag clinical values or provide decision support. Screening determinations, fitness opinions and medical review stay with your provider and its clinicians — Catenix keeps the evidence behind them tidy.

What occupational health needs from POCT

Every need, mapped to the module that handles it.

Pre-employment & periodic screening

Register candidates and employees once, then bring them back for periodic reviews against the same record. Encounters, history and recall live together — see patients & encounters.

On-site testing days

Run a testing day at a client's premises and capture analyser results on the spot. The edge agent holds data locally if the connection drops and forwards it later — see device connectivity.

Drug & alcohol panels

Record results alongside chain-of-custody detail — collector, donor reference, custody transfers and timestamps — as a traceable record. Catenix keeps the record; it does not adjudicate the outcome.

Operator competency tracking

Tie every result to the operator who produced it, and track training and competency status per device. Quality and competency travel with the data — see quality & QC.

Multi-site, multi-employer separation

Run screening for many employers from one platform while keeping each client's records cleanly separated, with role-based access deciding who can see what.

Reports that land where they're needed

Turn results into clean, branded reports and route them to the right destination for each corporate contract — see reporting.

Audit-ready by default

The record an auditor — or a client — can actually check.

Occupational health work is only as good as the record behind it. When a client or an assessor asks who ran a test, on which device, against which control, and where the report went, the answer should be one query — not a search through paper and inboxes.

Catenix was built with hands-on clinical-biochemistry expertise, so the quality and traceability model reflects how testing actually works on a busy bench. Billing for testing days and contracts is part of the same thread — see billing.

  • One traceable thread per result — operator, device, lot, time and destination, captured automatically.
  • Chain-of-custody record-keeping — custody fields recorded with the result, never interpreted.
  • Verbatim status & flags — whatever the analyser or laboratory reports is carried through untouched.
  • Multi-employer data separation — each client's records isolated, with role-based access throughout.
  • Exportable audit trail — evidence ready for clients, accreditation and internal review.
  • Regional data residency & GDPR-aligned — secured over HTTPS, hosted in your region where required.

Connecting your analysers is the first step. Catenix supports a broad range of point-of-care instruments over the standards they already speak — see the devices & integrations page, or read what POCT connectivity is if you are new to the term.

Questions, answered

What occupational health providers ask first.

Does Catenix decide whether someone passes a drug and alcohol test?

No. Catenix records the result the device or laboratory produced, along with chain-of-custody details — collector, donor reference, time, device and custody transfers — and keeps that record traceable. It does not interpret results or determine an outcome. The pass, fail or medical-review decision stays with your provider, its clinicians and any medical review officer.

Can Catenix keep different corporate clients' data separate?

Yes. Catenix is multi-tenant by design, so each site and each corporate client's records stay separated, with role-based access controlling who sees what. You can run screening for many employers from one platform without their data mixing.

Does Catenix work for mobile, on-site testing days without reliable internet?

Yes. The Catenix edge agent captures results from connected analysers on site and holds them locally if the connection drops, then forwards them once it is back. A testing day at a client's premises is captured the same way as a fixed clinic.

How is Catenix priced for an occupational health provider?

Catenix is a subscription priced per clinic or site, with optional add-on modules at a flat monthly price. There are no per-test fees, device drivers for supported analysers are part of the platform, and implementation is scoped with your quote.
