SystmOne is the record that runs much of UK primary care and community services. SystmOne clinics span GP practices, community services and out-of-hospital care, which is exactly where point-of-care testing lives. The result belongs in the shared record, not on a printout beside the analyser.
Two things push a clinic to connect its analysers. The first is volume: enough tests a day that reading values off a screen and typing them into the chart stops being sustainable. The second is data: results that have to reach the system your team actually works from, reliably and with their history attached. If either sounds familiar, the connection pays for itself in staff time alone, before counting the errors it prevents.
Catenix sits between your analysers and SystmOne. A small gateway at the clinic captures each result electronically the moment it is produced, over HL7, POCT1-A2, ASTM or the device's own format. The result is matched to the right patient and operator, kept separate from quality-control runs, and forwarded to SystmOne through a structured result feed into the patient record. The value that was measured is the value that is filed.
